The Senior Programme Coordinator specialises in quantitative data and research for education programmes, playing a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and impact of NECT education initiatives. Responsibilities encompass designing, managing, and evaluating quantitative research projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education programs, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This role is pivotal in driving evidence-based decision-making to enhance educational outcomes and help the organisation make a positive impact in the field of education through quantitative data analysis, research, and effective program management.

Role Description / Key Performance Areas

Programme Delivery:

·       Plan and oversee quantitative research projects related to large-scale education programmes, defining clear objectives and timelines.

·       Co-ordinates the implementation of large-scale Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) initiatives in line with the Division’s Strategy.

·       Develop data collection methodologies, conduct statistical analysis, and derive actionable insights to improve education program delivery.

·       Assess and monitor the effectiveness of education programs, providing recommendations for improvements.

·       Consolidate metrics to track progress of programme scale and impact. 

·       Co-ordinates reviews and interprets research and policy analysis within the Education environment.

                                                                                       

Relationship Management:

·       Engage and build effective internal relationships, and with DBE, partners, and other stakeholders to support the delivery of initiatives.

 

People:

·       Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.

·       Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.

·       Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks, and output quality over periods of up to a year.

·       Support to other professionals in Division 1 on MRF related issues

·       Assisting, guiding junior staff (including trainees) where needed.

 

Finance and Governance:

·       Complies with Finance and Risk management governances.

·       Work with Senior Manager for MRF to develop and manage budgets for the MRF unit, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.

·       Understands, interpret, and implement division specific compliance requirements.

·       Ensure that research activities and education programs adhere to ethical standards, regulations, and sector best practices.

·       Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of research subjects and sensitive data.

Qualifications Required 

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, M&E, statistics, social sciences); a postgraduate degree an advantage. 

Experience required

·  Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ work experience iquantitative research projects, preferably in the field of education.

·  Experience in education program management and evaluation is highly desirable.

·  Proven experience in data collection, analysis, M&E, and reporting.

·  Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

·  Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualisation tools.

·  Familiarity with education program management software and tools.
